The current situation of urban waste disposal in China is worrying. The amount of urban waste discharge in China is increasing at a rate of approximately 9% -10% per year. However, with the increasing development of urban social life and the continuous acceleration of urbanization, the amount of garbage emissions caused by urban expansion will continue to increase. Therefore, the government and the public's attention to garbage disposal issues related to their own quality of life is also increasing. In the process of economic globalization, urban waste seriously restricts social progress and economic development. Frequent pollution accidents and environmental damage have brought great pressure to China's environmental carrying capacity. Therefore, at this stage, we must recognize the current situation of urban waste disposal in China and find solutions to such problems as soon as possible.

With the advancement of urbanization in China, the generation of urban household waste has shown a huge and rapid growth trend, and the treatment of urban household waste has become a difficult problem faced by the vast majority of cities in China. According to statistics from the China Urban Environmental Sanitation Association in 2010, China generates nearly 1 billion tons of waste annually, including nearly 400 million tons of household waste. More than one-third of cities have saturated their garbage capacity and processing capacity. The news of garbage besieging the city and illegal dumping of garbage in different places often appears in the newspapers.
